The clock is ticking, being ready to mark both an end and a beginning.

Traditionally, the last days of each year find me fully booked. Before walking on a Red Carpet for La Nuit Sociale at Bucharest National Opera House, beginning the final countdown, and popping the champagne, I am always marking December 30 as a “me” day.

Every year, I indulge myself with a glass of Moët & Chandon and the most marvelous éclairs from French Revolution. I keep on listening to Moonlight Sonata while searching for my Swarovski black pen and the Moleskine black leather diary, preparing for “My Annual Review & My Annual Planning”.

But as soon as I started to darken the paper, I couldn’t help but wonder: “In a world where 92% of people don’t achieve their goals and New Year’s Resolutions, how can I be the one that will succeed?”.

With this thought in mind, I decided to apply some systems and techniques I personally developed in 2018. For writing my end-goals, milestones, and tasks, I used The Naming Convention™ and The Focus Points™. For organizing my end-goals, I used the principles from The Focus Map™ and The 6 Vectors of Lifestyle Design™. Moreover, for keeping myself motivated, I applied The Goal & Reward System™.

Because I truly believe in the power of a systematic approach, in 2019 I decided to commit to my goals publicly and document both my high-moments and my low-points. This article will be updated constantly and I will use Facebook and Instagram as the main platforms for monitoring my activity.

Even though this article is about me, I truly hope you can find something to inspire you in your journey and the pursuit of your own goals. Throughout the year, I will share on madalinadobre.com all the systems, methods, resources, and techniques I personally tried and recommend.

PROGRESS: Work in progress (5%). The exam is scheduled on July 5, 2019 and is comprised of 1 essay and 30 multiple-choice questions. In order to prepare for the exam, I need to solve 460 multiple-choice questions and write 25 essays.

ACTION STRATEGY & MILESTONES: Currently, I am studying for the exam. I have successfully solved 50/460 multiple-choice questions and wrote 0/25 essays.

ACTION STRATEGY & MILESTONES | 2019: According to the original challenge (Julia Cameron, The Artist’s Way), „Morning Pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning”. Between 1 – 30 January, my end-goal was to write 500 words every morning. For writing and monitoring my progress, I used MorningPages – Daily Journal.
